We are always excited about meeting
new patients! A complimentary visit to our office will consist of a
thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment
options. This important 20 to 30-minute visit will give us
insight into your orthodontic needs and is complimentary.
We ask for your assistance by thoroughly completing an Adult
Health History Form or a Minor
Health History Form and bringing it with you. We know
your time is valuable, so if treatment is indicated by your
exam findings, it may be possible to take diagnostic records
at that point. Your plan will be discussed with you in detail at a
subsequent appointment. There is a fee for the diagnostic
records and treatment conference.
During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.
- Is there a condition present that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What are the treatment options to correct the problem?
- Do any baby teeth need to be removed?
While we can often answer these general questions about treatment during the initial examination, we will address specific areas after careful analysis of the diagnostic records. These areas include but are not limited to:
- Confirmation of areas discussed during the examination.
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are my payment options?
We feel it is important to analyze each patient's specific needs because in-depth, personalized planning leads to superior results and patient satisfaction.
After the exam and records, we will schedule a treatment conference to discuss treatment options, time frames and financial arrangements. We insist that our patients leave our office with a clear understanding of their specific needs, what the treatment will consist of and how long it will take. As always, we will answer any additional questions.
